Appearance
A colorless to light yellow transparent oily liquid, slightly viscous.
Pharmacological Action
Pharmacodynamics:
Acetylated aminoglycoside avermectin belongs to the class of macrolide antiparasitic drugs. Its antiparasitic activity is similar to that of ivermectin. Subcutaneous injection provides 95% efficacy against adult and larval stages of most common nematodes. It is more effective than ivermectin against Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Strongyloides papillosus, and Oesophagostomum radiatum. It completely eliminates Hypoderma bovis larvae and has a pronounced effect against helminths in cattle.
Pharmacokinetics:
Following subcutaneous injection (0.2 mg/kg) in dairy cows, the maximum plasma concentration is reached at 28.2 hours, with a peak concentration of 87.5 ng/ml and a half-life of 35.7 hours.
Drug Interactions
Concurrent use with ethamsylate may cause severe or fatal brain damage.
Indications
A macrolide antiparasitic drug. Used to eliminate parasites in cattle, including gastrointestinal nematodes, pulmonary nematodes, and ectoparasites such as mites, mange mites, lice, Hypoderma larvae, and gadflies.
Administration and Dosage
Subcutaneous injection: single dose of 0.2 ml per 10 kg of body weight.
Side Effects
No side effects observed when used according to the specified dosage and administration method.
Important Notes
(1) This product must be administered only via subcutaneous injection. Do not inject intramuscularly or intravenously.
(2) Highly toxic to shrimp, fish, and aquatic organisms. Avoid contaminating water sources with residue.
(3) Wash hands thoroughly after use.
Withdrawal Period
For cattle: 1 day; Milk withdrawal period: 24 hours.
